Mrs Tillie Young Succumbs At Son's Home
Mrs Tillie Young died at her son James Young’s Salt Lake Valley home after a long life as a pioneer daughter of Heber Young and Elinor Maria. Born Oct 4 1858 in Salt Lake, she married Perry Yong in 1883. Her early roles included farmer stockraiser and public service in Athirt Valley and Vernal, with later work as marshal at Vernal and other duties. Funeral services are planned at Provost on the upcoming Sunday at 12:30 PM.

Fire destroys bath house at Little Bonanza mine
A stove overheated causing a blaze that completely destroyed the bath house at the Little Bonanza mine southeast of Vernal. At 10 this morning twenty five men employed at the site were in the mine and the fire quickly got beyond control. All equipment and clothing for the workers was lost in smoke. Temporary facilities are being built in Vernal while workers purchase new clothing.
