T V Troubles Over County Cable Costs
A reader argues that with only $10,000 yearly to spend and 2,750 county homes, 600 connected to cable, total first year revenue from connections and service would be about $80,400. The note contends that tax levy limits and testing delays threaten full county coverage and may render TV obsolete before completion.

Basin Wool Pool Sees Consignments of 1958 Fleeces
Uintah Basin Wool Pool secretary Marl Mecham says growers are being contacted by a representative to consign the 1958 wool crop. Last year the pool handled 230000 pounds, enabling small operators to bid for large clips and net a few cents more per pound. 1957 wool was consigned to the National Wool Marketing Association and sold mainly at 63 to 77 cents per grease pound in Boston, with unsold stockpile affecting prices. Final settlements will follow after all 1957 wool is sold for the 400 Uintah Basin growers.
