The Dinosaur National Monument committee of Vernal Chamber announces a tentative Dinosaur Day on Sunday June 1 to honor the new Visitors Center dedication. Gas fumes suspect sent to Uintah hospital

Fred Reynolds employed at the new city sewage plant is under treatment at Uintah County hospital after inhaling gas fumes at work. He spent five days in an oxygen tent for breathing difficulties following chest pains last week. After physician examination he was sent for hospital care and is reported improved.

County Building Bonds to be Signed and Bid Deadline Set

The Lincoln firm will receive 1 percent of the $400,000 bond value for selling the bonds. The bid opening deadline for the proposed county building is set for Tuesday, February 22. Vernal area businesses will close Saturday February 22 in observance of Washington's Birthday.

Uintah Basin Scouting Reaches Peak in 1957 Efforts

Uintah Roosevelt and Duchesne Scout Districts report strong 1955 to 1957 progress in Utah National Parks Council. Eagle Scouts rose to 38 from local efforts, camping activity doubled, leaders trained increased, and 45 Basin youths attended the National Jamboree with two Utah participants. Moon Lake Electric Holds Annual Meeting

Nearly 200 consumer members attended the Moon Lake Electric Assn annual meeting at Uintah High School. Registration started at 10 am with an open house at the central office at 495 East Main. The session opened at 1 30 pm and all former directors were reelected with one floor nomination. Returning directors include William Fieldsted District 1 Ray Brown District 3 Ralph Taylor District 4 Ralph Chew District 5 and Elvin E B Urquart District 7. Members voted to raise the legal debt limit from 10 million.
