Mock Trial at Vernal Lyceum Kicks Off Evening
The Vernal Lyceum hosted a mock trial led by J N Davis accused of kissing the hired girl. A jury drawn from the audience heard testimony from several witnesses including Virgin Snow and Ms. Dillman, with verdicts humorously delivering a mixed outcome and defendants discharged at cost. The Mask Ball at Social Hall followed, featuring a wide array of costumes and notable attendees.
