County Agent E Peterson reports in the 1926 Extension service summary that Uintah county farmers found sweet clover superior for pasture. Yellow blossoms palated cattle slightly more but white clover stayed green under heat. three acres of white sweet clover carried stock threefold compared to other pastures, as testified by dairyman Lester Bingham of Maeser and his eighteen cows grazing from May 23 to September.
