Bad Weather Disrupts Power
Kenneth R. Aycock of Utah Power and Light cites fog and ice in canyons as the cause of Monday evening and Tuesday power outages. A switch failed to re close and power was routed via Flaming Gorge, with the regular system expected back soon. Ice accumulation on lines can pull them down causing shorts.
