School Board Accepts Turner Bid For Alterra Elementary
Law bid of 285 500 for Alterra elementary construction was accepted Tuesday by the School Board. Turner Construction CosfUlli with Turner Building Sup Ply, Internal submitted the bid which included a 2 250 alternate lot. Basic bids ranged from 293 230 to 317 000. A 1955 Chevrolet driven by Myron J. Brough struck a horse, a 1953 Dodge driven by Norton D. Shelton stopped to render aid, and a 1956 Ford owned by Ruth Chapoose rear ended Shelton’s car and rammed it 240 feet. Injured include Mrs. Chapoose with severe facial lacerations.
