Dentist Tolhurst Sacrifices Life To Help Influenza Victims
Dr Tolhurst of Vernal died Saturday after a heroic bout with influenza. A 30-year-old Northwestern Dental College graduate, he served patients at an emergency hospital, aided the Red Cross, and held posts with the county draft board and Commercial club. His body was taken to Salt Lake for burial with Acacia Masons assisting. he leaves a wife, a daughter, and three sisters.

Jesus Willis Dies at 60 in Uintah County Pioneer
Jesus Willis, longtime Uintah County resident and pioneer farmer, died at his home in Davis yard after influenza pneumonia. Survived by a large family, he was known as a peaceful neighbor who avoided altercations. Funeral services were held Thursday at Vernal cemetery with Geo Blaugh leading, Bishop Batty and A G Goodrich among speakers, and a church chorus providing music.
