Vernal Seminary Nears Completion With Dedication Planned
A new $19,000 Vernal LDS Seminary is nearing completion. The modern facility, associated with the LDS Church, was built by donors including Grant West and Harold H. Smith. Name plate exercises were held last September and a dedication service plan is expected soon.

Funeral held for Ora Preece Wilson in Vernal
Funeral services for Ora Preece Wilson wife of Fred Wilson and daughter of Alma and Mary Preece were held in Vernal with Bishopric and Uintah stake leaders presiding. Burial followed at Rock Point Cemetery. Wilson, born October 12 1912, died after an operation for appendicitis with death due to a blood clot. Survived by husband Fred and her parents, plus three sisters and a brother. A large local turnout and out-of-town mourners attended.
