Chamber Sees New Brochure For Vernal Tourists
Layouts for a new Vernal area tourist brochure were shown to the Vernal Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday. The brochure will feature more pictures and descriptions of local attractions and is expected to be ready for distribution by the end of 1982. Dinosaurland Inc. promoted the effort, with Kay Richens noting plush dinosaurs and plastic replicas as promotional tools. Certificates of graduation were awarded at a Vernal business management seminar to numerous representatives and companies, including McNeill Duncan and Searle Gas and Appliance, Basin Loans, Moon Lake Electric, Uintah Roxall Drug, and others. Jack Chapman of the University of Colorado discussed economic research on the Upper Colorado River Development area.

An unusual art exhibit opens Sunday in the Little Gallery of the Herdhouse in Vernal with a 2 to 5 p.m preview. The show features Egyptian and primitive works, Japanese art, etchings and abstracts, plus top paintings from Prof. George Dibbie's adult art class. the exhibit closes December 26.

Junior Rod and Gun Club Planned for Vernal Utah
Vernal will host one of two Utah clubs to sponsor a Junior Rod and Gun Club. Salt Lake County Fish and Game Association funds the other. Approved by Utah Wildlife Federation, the program aims to involve local youth, aid Scout Merit badges and gun safety, and integrate with the Vernal Tool and Gun Club. Activities include two monthly evening meetings at the Red and Gun Club Lodge and a monthly two hour work period, with indoor projects in winter and outdoor projects in spring.

Dedication Ceremony Set Friday At Cart Creek Bridge
Cart Creek Utah will dedicate its 550 foot Cart Creek Bridge Friday at noon with Governor Clyde cutting the stainless steel ribbon. Rev. R. D. Thomson Ordination Planned
The Right Reverend Richard S. Watson, Episcopal Bishop of Utah, will ordain the Reverend Richard D. Thomson of Vernal to the Sacred Order of the Priesthood at 10 p.m. on December 19 at the Cathedral Church of St. Mark in Salt Lake City. Also to be ordained are the Reverend Peter Jones of All Saints Episcopal, Salt Lake City, and the Reverend Wayne Pontious of the Episcopal Indian Mission at Bluff.
