Lewis Chivers Injured in Mine Accident
Lewis Chivers of Daviy suffered severe burns to his hands when his lamp ignited a keg of powder in the Kidd coal mine near Hrush ycock. Fire spread to his clothing as he ran to the entrance for help. Mr Kidd and Frank Golliner aided, while medicines and care were arranged in town. He had been tending sheep for Bennion before returning home to his ailing wife and six children. The injured man will be moved home when feasible.

Prof Carl Douglass visits town Tuesday to report progress on the Utah quarry findings. The last two dinosaur specimens are nearly complete and will be loaded for shipment to Washington this month. A two foot long skeleton is not part of the large species being sent.
