Impressive services held for Hatch J Murray
Funeral services for Hatch J Murray were held Thanksgiving morning on the lawn in front of the residence. Bishop H I Calder led the service with remarks by Geo A Downey and tea Pon B Colton. A mixed quartet performed and the mother, though unwell, attended and followed the remains to the grave. Calder expressed thanks to all who helped, and the family reported Abel Wallace Calder recovering from influenza.

Floyd Hamrick son of Andrew L Hamrick is officially reported missing in action since September 28. Born May 12, 1893 in Spencer Roane County West Virginia he lived in Vernal four years and had worked in Vernal with farming and a local occupation. He enlisted in the infantry April 26 and was stationed at Camp Lewis Washington before being sent to France. He had five brothers and two sisters and left behind a grieving father in addition to many friends.

Lynn Taylor, reported killed in action by the War Department on December 1, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Taylor of Uintah County Utah. Born in Moab Utah 24 years ago he attended Many schools and Grand County High. His father later moved to Wellton Creek Utah where stock raising was his business. Walter Richardson Dies After Struggle With Flu
Walter Richardson succumbed to influenza in the early hours of Sunday, was conscious before death, spoke with his parents and wife, and left clear wishes for comfort of his devoted wife. Funeral services were held on the lawn Monday afternoon, led by Bishop Geo I Witkina. A quartet sang, and friends spoke of his stern merits. Miss Oral Davis and a Salt Lake death were noted in brief follow ups with services at the city cemetery.
