Vernal groups raise funds for Davis flood sufferers
Nearly $10 000 was subscribed at a Monday meeting at the Uintah State Bank to aid Davis County flood sufferers. Bishop James Ho Wallis chaired the Uintah County Red Cross drive attended by Reverend George E Guild, R C Cooper, Haber Olson, Mrs. John Davis, Mrs. Stringham and others from local clubs and churches. Contributions were listed from Stake Relief Society, American Legion Auxiliary, Current Topics club, Twentieth Century club, Thalia Club, Vernal City, Uintah county Lions club, Kingsbury Congregational church, Board of Education and others.
