Myton Roosevelt Road Next Road Project Bid Plans

Engineer W Varley announces bids will be called within four weeks to complete eleven miles from the Myton steel bridge to the county line east of Roosevelt. The section was part of a twenty two mile project funded by Duchesne County voters in 1924, with delays from route changes and right of way issues. The improved Myton Antelope sector now allows speeds up to fifty mph, replacing a rough, hazardous road.

Impressive Funeral Services for Venice Adams

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for Venice Adams a 13 year old girl. The Ward House at Fork hosted the service conducted by Thomas Bingham with Maeser choir singing. Interment followed in Dry Fork cemetery. she died from pneumonia after being brought to Vernal earlier in August. She is survived by her parents and several siblings.
