State Board Raises Uintah County Valuation For Cattle And Horses

County clerk Ashien follows an order from the State Board of Kiqualzation to increase Uintah county cattle valuations by fifteen percent and horses by ten percent. Despite protests from Chairman Joseph Meckee and commissione He Bracken, the board deems the raise expedient. The clerk will add 14254.05 for cattle and 12869.60 for horses, totaling 28123.55.

Leeton Confirmed as Utah's Youngest Town

The Uintah county officials completed the townsite paperwork for Leeton Utah at a special session. Henry Lee signed the certification with Joseph A Vicke as chair approving the record. Recorder Addie Longhurst received the instruments and fee, finalizing Leeton as a town.
