Tragic road accident shadows a sunny afternoon
A new road cut through the woods when a stump caused a mishap among riders. Mrs A M Murdock fell but escaped injury. Mrs Thos Firth narrowly avoided a worse fate as the wagon’s dashboard broke. The horses briefly dragged her but control was restored. Despite peril, the day remained memorable. The Steele home welcomed a daughter.

Tabby White had a preliminary hearing at Moffat last Wednesday morning at 10 o clock before precinct justice A Q Dean. The Indian was bound over to the district court and given into the charge of Sheriff Pope. He and deputy sheriff C B Atwood Jr. brought Tabby to Vernal and lodged him in the county jail.

Big Things at Douglas Quarry New Dinosaur Skeleton Uncovered
At the Douglas quarry Professor Douglas reveals a nearly complete dinosaur skeleton, nicknamed Stigosaurus, with about fifty bones recovered. The monster appears to be in life-like pose, despite missing the skull, and the find promises rich paleontological value.

Fair features cattle and horses as crowds gather
