Utah lawmakers urged to adopt new water and power plan
Frank Ward of the Vernal Chamber of Commerce and B. H. Stringham lead a 21 member committee backing a state water and power program. They propose a 14 member state board for study and development of water and power resources, with governors, attorneys general, and other officials as ex officio members. The plan outlines district representation across Bear River, Weber, Salt Lake, and other counties, plus appointments from Utah Water Users. The governor would appoint board members with Senate consent.
