Three Idea Awards Earn Cash for Ideas at Agency
Nat Hanson, Range Conservationist and Indian Service employee since 1929, received 250 in Incentive Award money for proposing jet engine casings as bases for cattle guards. The idea saves about 120 per guard and totals roughly 6034.50 for 50 guards on the Ute Reservation, after hauling costs. Hanson, transferred to U and O in January 1868, has 34 years of service across western states.
