Frederick P. Champ, Utah Savings Bonds Chairman, announces a second 10-year extension for Series E savings bonds bought between May 1941 and 1949. The new rule sets a 3 percent annual interest rate, compounded yearly, reflecting the bonds’ current values as they approach the extended maturity in May.
The Interior Department announced revised boundaries for three Federal Grazing Districts along the Colorado Utah border to conform to new policy. In related notes, E bonds holders who held for 20 years will now receive a full 3 percent annual return on current value for another decade, with about $15 billion in 1941 49 E bonds outstanding nationwide.
Bureau of Land Management Director Karl Landstrom announced a boundary modification for Dinosaur National Monument approved September 8 1960. About 3000 acres are affected with Grazing Districts 1 and 6 in Craig Colorado and Grazing District 6 Vernal Utah adjusted accordingly. Grazing rights can be renewed up to 25 years under terms set by the Secretary of the Interior.
