Mark Hislop Laid To Rest In Maeser Friday
Funeral services for Mark Hislop were held in Maeser Ward chapel with Bishop Sylvanus Collett officiating. Interment followed in Vernal cemetery. He died helping clear snow from Denver and Rio Grande tracks in Provo canyon on his first day at the new job. He was born May 3, 1902 in Maeser and survived by his widow Mabel Freestone, parents, and several siblings.

Maeser mourns Mrs. G F Britt a devoted wife and mother and pioneer who died April 7 after a brief illness. Susan Maria Merkley Britt born October 28 1863 in Morgan Utah lived through early Ashley valley days married George Finley Britt in 1882 and raised eleven children. Funeral services were held at the family residence with Bishop Collett and Rev Downay present and interment at Rock Point cemetery with many relatives attending.
