Dust and Fire Hit Ashley Valley Wind Storm
Monday brought the valley a fierce wind storm with dust and fires from sparks in homes. Losses include eight tons of hay at Mr. Anderson and damage to corrals and stables at I. Johnson, while S. P. Dillman returns from the Big Hole placers with promising pay dirt samples. The Vernal Mining Co. reports ground still frozen but good water prospects and gold in grass roots, signaling a potential summer boom.

Old Folks Ball at Mill Ward Ladies Relief Society
The Ladies Relief Society of Mill Ward hosted an old folks dance last Thursday evening. Fathers and mothers led the dancing while recitations and songs filled breaks.
