Fatal cellar gas tragedy at Paris area inn
In Little Courcelles near Paris three weeks ago an innkeeper, a housekeeper, a waiter and two travelers vanished after descending to a cellar to fetch a bottle of wine. Neighbors reopened the cellar and four bodies were found with the wine vat releasing carbonic acid gas that poisoned the air. the girl died, three others recovered.

Lineal Descendant of John Welsh Noted as Minister Plenipotentiary
The Boston Advertiser recounts Mr. John Welsh a descendant of Rev. John Welsh of Scotland who married a Knox daughter. Welsh was condemned in 1605 for supporting the Scottish General Assembly and banished, later allowed to return to London.
