The second day of the North western Ohio Volunteer Firemen's Association drew a larger crowd with smooth races and brisk competition. From that grain grew 22 stalks each with a full head and 860 grains, 760 of which were replanted in 1882 yielding one fifth of a bushel of fine wheat. In spring 1883 that grain produced 17 bushels totaling 1020 pounds.
