Local Notes From Van Wert Area Tell Of Weddings, Auctions, And Town Gossip
A mixed local page reports E L Aiken returning from the Indians, J H Aiken on business at Paulding, and social visits including Misses Norviel Bugh and McKinney at Paulding. It notes school opening with many rural girls staying in town, a diphtheria loss in a family, and a ghost rumor about Cyrus Rankin. Numerous auction announcements describe upcoming sales of horses, cattle, crops, and household goods in Van Wert and surrounding townships with terms and payment details.
