Wilbur D. Staley of Oakwood lay near death in Fort Wayne's St. Joseph's hospital after his auto collided head on with a street car on a bridge. Motorman C. R. The Bureau of Inspection and Supervision released results of a county office audit covering July 1 1934 to September 1 1935. Other items included 33.52 depository interest for Tully township 10 error in board bill for the City of Toledo 79.75 physician bill and 129.10 hospital bill against Van Wert county 2.50 duplicate bill from Barson Auto Parts 4.20 interest error at Peoples Savings Bank and 5.01 expenses for E V Walborn collecting taxes. Officials were praised for office conduct and report quality. Bank balance stood at 2779781 on August 31 1935 and total bonded indebtedness at 38900 with 510 for pikes 30900 relief bonds and 2900 Carey act relief fund. Bonds will be retired by March 1 1944 and Pike indebtedness cleared in coming years. Copies were sent to Prosecuting Attorney S S Beard and County Auditor Harry D Bellis.
