Prohibition Party Holds National Convention in Cincinnati

The sixth national prohibition convention met at Music Hall with John P. St John as temporary chair. Col Eli Ritter was named permanent chair and Samuel Dickey led the national committee as delegates debated platform planks and partisan loyalties. John Bidwell of California was nominated for president and Gideon Stewart of Ohio for vice president after ballots.

Theodore Dwight Dead and Col umbia Educator
