J Luther Zirkle 74 of North Jefferson Street died this morning in Toledo from pneumonia after a brief illness. His wife and daughter Viola visited in Toledo Thursday, while son Paul and daughter-in-law planned to visit today. Born in New Market Virginia he moved to the city from Indiana after retiring from farming. He was a lifelong Lutheran and member of St Marks church and the Brotherhood class of the Sunday school. He leaves two sons Paul of Veneflocia and Samuel G Zirkle of Defiance and a brother R M Zirkle of New Market Virginia.

Richard Taylor of Akron Ohio faces a hearing on kidnaping 10 year old Henry Koch son of a wealthy department store executive. Taylor lured the boy into his car under the pretense of showing a fine colt bound and gagged him then fled toward Allentown to collect a 20000 dollar ransom.
