Nineteen men from Grant county’s Second Conscription District will depart for Camp Taylor Louisville Ky on Friday morning via the Clover Leaf railway. Painful Accident Injures Chester Woodard Tied by Barbed Wire
Chester Woodard was injured while repairing a barbed wire fence when the wire snagged a nearby horse and dragged him. The horse ran, wrapping wire around his leg and injuring him from knee to hip. His daughter Farrel accompanied him but was unhurt, though her clothing was torn.

Unconstitutional Suffrage Law Faces Appeal in Indiana
Judge Rochford in Marion County Superior Court at Indianapolis ruled the nine tenth suffrage bill unconstitutional. The ruling issued a permanent restraining order against enforcement and the case heads to the state supreme court. The judge said the legislature cannot grant suffrage power unless the constitution grants it.
