William H Crum Veteran Civil War Veteran Passes Away
William H Crum aged 74 a Wells county Indiana resident and Civil War veteran died October 8 1921 at his Van Buren home He married Amanda Smith on October 30 1866 and leaves nine children twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He served in the 34th Indiana Infantry and was active in the I O O F Jackson Center Lodge McNatts He was a church member and cared for the sick Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ Warren with interment at Red Men cemetery Warren.

Damages Sought in Van Buren Auto Crash Suit
Pearl Jacks files for 3150 dollars in Superior Court through Kenneth Leffler against Nanna Sharp of Van Buren township alleging negligence on the Montpelier pike at forty mph. The crash damaged a buggy in which Jacks rode and caused serious injuries including a broken collar bone a spine injury and a ruptured eardrum. Damages sought 3000 for injuries and 150 for buggy damage.
