Mrs Emma Doyle Dies Sudden During Lodge Work
Mrs Emma Doyle died suddenly in the Farrville Pythian Sister lodge room while an initiation was in progress. She had heart trouble and passed within about twenty minutes after the attack. She leaves five children, ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several siblings. Funeral services are set for Friday at the Farrville church with burial in Van Buren cemetery.

Memorial Day Observed In Van Buren With Service
For the first time in years Memorial Day will be observed in Van Buren next Sunday afternoon. The Methodist church will host a Memorial service at 2 o clock followed by a cemetery wreath laying for veterans. Few Civil War veterans remain in the township and younger generations are urged to carry on the tradition by beautifying the graves with flowers.
