The men will conduct the Methodist Sunday School service on Sunday May 15 with a Mother’s Day program and several choruses. Mrs Emma Jones left for Huntington after caring for her sister Mrs Catherine Whitaker who died April 24. Leonard Farr departed Thursday for Bartletteville Oklahoma to resume oil field work after visiting his mother Mrs Jane A Farr.

Parsonage Trustees Plan Barn Tear Down and Garage Build
The Meth odist Church board of trustees plans to tear down the parsonage barn and rebuild a modern garage. The 18 by 24 foot structure will be stuccoed to match the home and half the space will become a storage room. Fred Sandersman chairs the parsonage trustees.

Two Year Old Boy Near Death After Self Inflicted Shot
Bluffton Indiana May 4 William Farlow's death weighed on 12 year old William Smith son of Mrs. Clara Lambert. He attempted suicide with a .38 revolver at his grandfather Robert Lambert's farm near Poneto. The bullet passed through, missing the lung. He was rushed to Wells County Hospital and is expected to recover if no complications arise. He had shown sorrow after his great grandfather's death but made no threats.

Man Falls Seventy Feet In Elevator Shaft
Alya Jackson, a Equity employee, fell about seventy feet from the top floor to the ground when the balance weight detached from its cable. He suffered crushed ankle bones, severe back pain, and possible spinal injury, after the platform dropped with him aboard. Jackson, who formerly resided near the Sanderman farm, was in stable condition at his home following the accident.

Freak pigs born in litter twin pigs among fourteen born
A sow on John Cowen farm two miles east of town produced fourteen pigs two pairs were Siamese twins. ten survived. Two were dead at birth with deformed features, including a creature with three mouths and two tongues. The other ten piglets were normal in size and form.
