Mrs. Sarah Elliott shows Easter eggs colored many years ago bearing dates from 1856 to 1899. One egg dated 1882 lacks a specific Easter date. The collection includes a 1856 egg carved with an eagle and a serpent and the word Union, plus other eggs dated April 2 1898 and 1899 and April 13 1884. The 1898 egg is a so called poose eye given by Mrs. John Smith who lives south of town.
