John Henry Shoup of Van Buren died at Marion Hospital Friday evening March 18 after a two week illness. He was 72 years old, born June 20 1849 near Dayton Ohio. Survived by daughter Mrs May Cowell of Cleveland and three sisters. two sons Carl and William are deceased. Funeral Sunday at home with Rev Harter, burial in Van Buren cemetery.
