Edward Rector of Chicago funds one hundred free DePauw University scholarships for Indiana high school graduates. Local students may compete. the award covers tuition and fees for four years and allows loan fund borrowing. The goal is to promote scholarship statewide. Names of local recipients will be announced at year end.

A committee including William Sanderman Landess White and Everett Arnett was named to draft a constitution and by laws. Resolutions supporting higher teachers salaries were read and endorsed by the group. An upcoming March 25 speakers engagement was planned and new members urged to attend to stay connected with the Farmers Federation statewide and nationally.
Mr L V Pilkington of Grand Rapids Michigan relatives hosted him this week He was born near Van Buren and had not visited in fourteen years He revisited childhood scenes but town changes have altered many landmarks He is married and lives in Grand Rapids His father Thomas Pilkington now lives in Traverse City Michigan
