Central Church to Raise Funds for New Building at Opera House
The Central Church of Christ held three Sunday services to raise money for a new church to be erected this summer on the Harrwell blacksmith shop site. Rev. Caubie from Indianapolis spoke at all services, advising on building plans as $12,300 in subscriptions were collected and more pledges expected. The projected cost exceeds $25,000. five new members joined during Sunday services.

Tragic poisoning death of two year old in household
The two year old child of Mr and Mrs Owen Woodard died after eating poison tablets given by another child who mistook them for candy. The tablets were within reach on a low shelf and a sibling passed them along. The older child ate some but survived. the girl died before aid could arrive.
