Montpelier residents Mr and Mrs John Burke and Margaret Covell of Bafften joined Sunday calls on Mr and Mrs Calderin with others including Mr and Mrs John Anderson Mr and Mrs Jess Farr Enoch Bart and Mrs Henry Cochran.
The Men's Community Brotherhood will hold its regular meeting at the M E church on next Monday evening. A special program of entertainment will be provided. A full attendance is desired.

Bills announce a Lilliputian wedding to be held at the opera house Friday night June 30 under the auspices of the W. C. T. U. Admission is 15 and 25 cents.
About thirty coach roads of soldiers from the east pass through Van Buren on the Clover Leaf Wednesday evening. Most business places closed and many people went to the station to cheer the boys. The soldiers were tired dry and hungry and accepted ice lemonade and refreshments supplied by local ladies.

The Town of Van Buren Indiana posts a public sale by order of the Board of Trustees. On Saturday July set day 1916 at 2 o clock the old frame dwelling on the Whicker lot and the old frame blacksmith shop near the Water Works on First Street will be sold for cash to highest bidder. Purchasers have ten days to remove the buildings. Buildings may be sold separately or together. Dated June 17 1916 Town Clerk W W Mott.
