The Marion Leader-Tribune reports Gideon Leas of South Boots Street has three sons serving in the army. Hubert, age beyond conscription, enlisted in Denver after years in Colorado. Guy Leas trains at Great Lakes Naval Station, while Frank Leas finished a seven week course in St Louis and will proceed to a southern cantonment. Gideon Leas is Mary Leas’s nephew and well known locally.

Children’s Day at the M E Church planned. program in progress and a possible event next Sunday night. At Capitola Deane’s Millinery Store three dozen children’s hats sold Saturday for 1.00 each. Farrville ice cream social netted 6.05 for the Red Cross.
