A crowded Central Church honored Children's Day with a strong program led by the Junior Choir. The missionary pageant featured scenes from India Africa and Japan with Miss Adaleene Griffith as Children’s Day and Kenneth Gardner Hal Bernon Olliver Mrs Gregory and others in supporting roles. An offering of 12.07 was raised for the United Christian Missionary Society.

A Little Rock dispatch reports Judge Richard Mann granted a Ku Klux Klan charter petition signed by eight women from different states. Daisy Douglas Barr of Indianapolis, once of Van Buren, appears among signers as a charter member. Converse reports over 500 Klan members in regalia paraded to fair grounds where initiations occurred. two bands played. delegations came from Grant Howard Miami and Delaware counties. a float showed a red schoolhouse with hooded figures and five student figures.

Purdue Purchases Another Big Farm Near West Lafayette
Lafayette Ind Purchase of 2 122 acre farm two miles north of West Lafayette for the use of the Purdue university experiment station was announced by G I Christie director of the station. The farm will be used in one more extensive livestock experiment station and investigational work with cattle sheep and hogs. The experiment station has owned no land for livestock studies aside from a 12 acre farm used for hog production. Expansion follows rapid development and popularity with state agricultural interests Christie said.

Ruling Against State Tax Board on Doty Road Bond Issue
Judge J Frank Charles ruled for the demurrer in the Doty road case involving a $57,000 bond issue. The remonstrance was filed outside the fifteen day limit under the old law but the legislature later corrected the rule to allow remonstrances within fifteen days after two weeks of public notice.

A county Ku Klux Klan gathering occurred Friday night near Fairmount in a woods north of town. Report says a large Klansmen turnout and many candidates were initiated in a closed meeting. Two big fiery crosses were burned during the event.
