Aged Local Resident dies on his 86th birthday
William Corey a lifelong resident died at his home near Van Buren at age 86. He left a son J. B. known as Guire Corey a daughter Mrs Vira Bone a brother Commodore Corey of Warren and a sister Mrs Lucy Hodson. He moved from Rush county at age three and resided here since. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the residence with interment in the Corey cemetery.

A heavy wind storm passed just south of Van Buren on Friday afternoon. The top of a large tree in John Passmore’s yard was blown off, many fences were blown down, and at Mr. Blake’s home a buggy was overturned and badly damaged.
