William Timmons Dies in Interurban Collision Near Bluffton
William Timmons aged 53 was instantly killed when struck by an eastbound interurban car on the Marion and Bluffton line near his home four miles southwest of Bluffton. He was crossing the track carrying two milk pails and did not see the car. The accident involved Motorman Jesse Keller and Conductor Roy Moore. Timmons formerly lived in Van Buren and worked in the local Hudson Oil Co. oil field. He is survived by his wife Cora A. Thompson and daughter Cecil. a son Ralph died in 1914, with two sisters also listed as survivors.

Fireman Glenn Place Sustains Severe Coal Dock Injury
Glenn Place a Clover Leaf fireman suffered a serious accident Monday at the coal dock while loading coal for his engine. He was ordered to move the train when the engine lurched back, trapping him between the cab top and chute. He broke his left arm above the wrist with bones protruding, injured his right hip, and cut head and face. He was taken to Dr Richardson's office for dressing and fracture reduction.
