Born May 16, 1869 in Grant County Indiana, he married Margaret Boggs in 1891 and left five children, two brothers, a sister, and a bereaved father. Funeral held July 16 with Rev J O Campbell officiating. interment Corey Cemetery.

Tragic Drowning Of Fisher Infant In Van Buren
William Elbert Fisher aged one year four months twelve days died after slipping into a jar of water in Van Buren. Parents William and Stella Fisher mourn with a brother and sister as funeral services were held at Mill Street home conducted by Rev. E O Brown and burial followed in Van Buren cemetery.

Kelley Drops Dead En Route to Work in Muncie
James Kelley, a former Van Buren resident, died suddenly as he left home to go to work in Muncie. The body was taken to Van Buren for funeral services at his father's home, conducted by Spencer Losure. Interment followed in Van Buren cemetery. Kelley was born May 29, 1868, married Ida R. Hull in 1889, and left ten children and many relatives.

More Fine Oats Grow Taller on Local Farm Measurements
Mr Harve Pulley delivers taller oats than last week with five foot six inch stalks from Reuben Pulley farm two miles west of town. Frank Van Ness from Route 27 sent oats of similar height five feet ten and a half inches. Weather remains unfavorable for harvest and both samples show very heavy stems and healthy quality. If anyone can beat these specimens we would like to know it.
