Compromised in big damage suit settles after yearlong dispute

In Grant circuit court the case of BE L Pierson versus Curtis O Nelson was compromised minutes before trial. About fifty witnesses had been summoned and the parties agreed to pay the costs, likely around a hundred dollars each, ending a long dispute over alleged slanderous store window statements.
