Edward B Scott born September 1 1873 in Webasha county died February 21 1921 at age 47 after illness. He lived in Van Buren township and taught in local schools before joining the Arros Knights of Pythias Lodge No 212. Funeral services were held at his parents home in Van Buren with Rev J O Campbell and Rev S F Harter.

Battle of Lisciosinewa near Marion remembered
The account recounts a 1812 battle on the west bank of the Mississinewa near Conner's Mill, with Captain Hopkins Garrard and Campbell leading White forces, and 8 killed 42 wounded among whites, 107 Indians killed and many carried away. The field lies near the old village burned December 17 1812 and eight soldiers lie buried there.

Clair Nelson Dies After Influenza Illness
Clair Willard Nelson, four year old son of Clyde and Edna Nelson, died Monday evening at the family home on South Second Street after a four week illness from influenza complications. Born February 17 1917 he passed February 21 1921. Funeral services were held at the Farrville church with Rev Mrs Treber, burial in Farrville Cemetery.

W F Williamson presided as officers were elected for the coming year including President W F Williamson and Secretary Treasurer Mrs Bessie Leas. Various division superintendents were named and the program featured musical numbers by local groups and a duet by Miss Alta Strange and Merle Butler.
