Tramilton Montana October 14 Walter Jackson convicted murderer of six year old Fannie Buck was seized from the county jail by about 735 masked men and hanged. Jailer Stephens resisted little. Body recovered by sheriff and coroner after thirty five minutes. The mob acted without firing a shot. The case followed a swift trial and appeal to the state Supreme Court.
In Lima on October 14 a running fight broke out between residents and eight burglars after the post office robbery in Columbus Grove. No injuries were reported.
