He survived a train pass that ripped a hundred feet, was found by crew, and hospitalized in Bisbee with severe injuries including amputations. he later regained consciousness and recounted the attack.

Jews Insulted at Cooper Union Meeting

In New York on October 1 a crowd of about three thousand Jews gathered at Cooper Union for Yom Kippur services but found the hall rented to the Free Society, an anarchist group. Trainmen Are Killed in Missouri Headon Collision

A west plains West Plains Mo dispatch reports a head on collision between a northbound Frisco passenger train and a southbound freight No. 51 near Koshkonong Missouri about 18 miles east of Kansas City. Three trainmen died Barney McChristian Marion White John Finch and J W Tune injured passenger James Webb slight injuries. The crash victims were taken to Springfield Missouri and both engines were demolished.

Denver Oct 1 Honest Election league led by W IL Bryant petitions Judge Malone to set aside Sheriff Hamilton Armstrong from selecting a grand jury to probe charter election frauds.
