Bees Triumph Over Seals 9–6 in Sunny Lake Game

In BALYT LAKE on June 22 the Bees defeated the Seals 9 to 6. Jean Dubuc allowed little early but failed to sustain pace while Jack Calvo belted a homer in the late innings. San Francisco’s Calvo, Pick, Schaller and Oldham led a late surge as Salt Lake pitchers battled back with three runs in the final frame.

Legg Wins Trans Miss Golf Thriller in 36 Holes

In fast round action at Kansas City Frank Lynch, a 19 year old St. Louis public links player, pushed veteran Marty Legg of Minneapolis to the limit. Legg won the 36 hole match to capture the tournament, despite Lynch repeatedly forcing close plays and nearly taking the lead on several holes.

Angels win thriller over Tigers in ten innings
