In Los Angeles Vernon 4 defeated Los Angeles 0. San Francisco Oakland 3 beat Portland. Galt Lake-San Francisco 6 tied Baltic Lake 6.
Salt Lake and Seals clashed in a 6 to 3 game at Donneville Park, both clubs combining for 39 runs and leaving 29 men stranded. Olaf Erickson and Babe Evans held the Seals, while Seals hitters found holes but could not clear the infield. The match featured three instances with bases loaded, and Sheeley homered followed by a runner’s double.
In a tense seventh inning Ryan batted for Hof in relief and Dougan ran for Ryan. Koerner hit a home run, Schaller and Shieley added key hits, while Erickson earned the win and Frane took the loss in a 9 inning game that featured several stolen bases, errors, and a late San Francisco rally.
Vernon defeated the Angels 4 to 0 on June 20 ending Los Angeles two week road trip. Charles Hall started for the Angels and was beaten by ten hits including three by Hall, with Fromme pitching well for Vernon. key plays featured Snodgrass, Doane, and Griggs on multiple bases as Vernon held off Angels rallies and completed the shutout with strong defense and timely hits.
