New York Feb 14 Les Darcy the Australian welterweight arrived to negotiate a $60,000 title bout with Gibbons in Milwaukee on April 10. The fight is set at 160 pounds with equal share of purses and two thirds of picture rights. Darcy trains two weeks before the bout. agreement signed by Darcy’s manager F E T O Sullivan and Gibbons’ manager Edward Kane.
Chicago February 14 James Sheckard former outfielder for the Chicago Nationals will assist manager Fred Michell and oversee the squad during the training trip to California Forty games are scheduled for team No 2 starting March 2 with trips to Santa Ana Sacramento and Maryville and games with San Francisco Spokane and Stockton under Pacific Coast league rules restricting play against home league teams.

Springville led 16 to 1 at halftime but rallied in the second half to claim a 36 to 27 victory missing two starters Weight and Crown due to injuries. Springville now faces two final Nebo division games on their home floor against Spanish Fork and Payson, needing one win to clinch the division title.
The Lester Mark Junior basketball team won 19 to 16 against Standard and then defeated Fourth Ward 16 to 16 in a double header on Weber Academy's floor. The Rams slipped in a second game, staying to face Ward, and the juniors left with high energy and a boast that no under 16 team can match them.
