Alvan Leonard born August 12 1826 in Addison County Vermont died May 25 1907 aged 80 years 9 months 13 days He married Louise Lamp in 1847 and moved to Wisconsin then Ap pancose County Iowa ultimately Putnam County in 1847 where he remained until his wife May 9 1905 death He lived with his children after She died He left nine children six sons and three daughters one son died in 1886 at age 32 He served in Company I 36th Regiment Laws Volunteers until disability He was a devoted Christian and esteemed citizen Funeral services by Rev Wi MacFarlan at Martins Town cemetery beside his wife.
