Fred Boland died last Friday night near Powereville from injuries after falling from a barn loft while feeding a stack. He lived in the area with his wife and son Jim and had been in a Kirkeville hospital ten months ago before returning home. The funeral is set for Monday at 2 PM at his home. Boland was widely known and had friends who regret his passing. He was about 40 years old.

Bread truck wreck at Unionville causes injuries
A Mary Jane bread truck wrecked Saturday night on a Tennessee highway four miles north of Unionville. The driver, who was brought to Centerville, suffered only a minor head cut with no serious injuries reported. Steering gear failure was blamed as the truck swerved and left the road in a dramatic crash.

Paul McCarty was acquitted after a lengthy trial in Centerville Town for the murder of his wife. Landtiser Home Burns Near Livonia
Fire destroyed the Wm Landtiser residence about two miles west of Livonia between eight and nine oclock Monday morning. The seven room house was occupied by his son his wife and baby while the owner lived in Livonia. The cause was not known at report time and it was said the man had gone to a mine to work that morning and Mrs Landtiser and the baby were alone. Insurance was carried on the building.
